Gradient Racing Will Start the Rolex 24 From the Second Row!

JG Wentworth's pro drivers earn strong position after impressive qualifier

CHESTERBROOK, Pa., January 23, 2024

Gradient Racing and Pro-driver Katherine Legge have secured an impressive 3rd place result in the GTD Class during the Qualifying session ahead of the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona. Legge's exceptional skills behind the wheel of the JG Wentworth Acura NSX GT3 Evo22, combined with optimal weather conditions, have set the stage for a promising race.

Sheena Monk, co-driver of the JG Wentworth Acura NSX, expressed her enthusiasm; "I'm really excited to put our Acura NSX among the top contenders. We have a strong car and we are hopeful for its consistency. Our car has its strong suits, yet there are areas where it may not match up to others. With the multi-class traffic, our aim is to maintain our pace, stay out of trouble, and win some watches this year.”

Katherine Legge commented on the qualifying session; "Qualifying went really well. The car performs superbly in cooler conditions, which we tried to capitalize on, as it’s expected to be warmer next weekend. It’s a 24-hour race, and this was only a few laps of qualifying, so we’re hoping to have a clean race and make it to be in the fight at the end."

Tatiana Calderon, thrilled with the team’s performance, stated; “It was my first time in the car and with the team. Achieving P3 is an amazing position to start the Rolex 24 at Daytona. We still have set-up work to do, but I’m happy and excited with what we have done so far. Hats off to the team and my teammates, we’ll keep working hard for the big one next week.”

Stevan McAleer added; “Our car has been competitive throughout the weekend. We’re in the running with a strong race car. I am very excited to be back in what will be my third Rolex 24 Hours. Katherine qualified us in third place, and with the speed Sheena and Tatiana have shown, we can be in the mix if we stay out of trouble! Can’t wait for the race to go green and see where we stand 23 hours in.”

Gradient Racing is now in a strong position for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, thanks to their collective efforts and strategic preparation. The team is looking forward to the main event, where they aim to turn this promising start into a victory.
