JG Wentworth Sponsored IMSA Racing Team to Compete at Sebring International Raceway   

Racers Sheena Monk and Katherine Legge to compete in Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring aboard JG Wentworth-backed car 

CHESTERBROOK, Pa., Mar. 15, 2023

Industry-leading consumer financial services company JG Wentworth announced today that race car drivers Sheena Monk and Katherine Legge, who are contesting the full WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the GTD (Grand Touring Daytona) class aboard the JG Wentworth-backed No. 66 Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 will be competing at the 71st annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway in south-central Florida this week.  

Earlier in February, the team was on track to place third at Daytona but due to a late race fuel fire, the #66 Acura NSX GT3 Evo 22 finished in fourth place. Racer Sheena Monk stated, “I'm really looking forward to the rest of this season. My goals are still the same: try to finish on the podium at every race and be the top 'Bronze' [rated] driver.”  

That was Monk’s first endurance race, in her first GT3 car, and in the largest class, all while competing as a rookie in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Ending up with more than five hours of drive time, Monk had gone above the minimum two hours, most of it in the dark. She and the team now move to the next race at Sebring. 

The 12 Hours of Sebring race has been historically considered as one of the three legs of the informal Triple crown of endurance racing – the other two being the 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours at Daytona. With a seventeen-turn road course combined with south-central Florida’s grueling hot weather, the race becomes a major test of the car’s reliability. In previous years, the race was attended by nearly 100,000 audience members.
