Questions About Your Mortgage

What happens to my mortgage now that WestStar is J.G. Wentworth Home Lending, LLC.?

Your mortgage will remain the same, only under a new company name.

I’m working with a loan officer – will that change?

No, your loan officer will remain the same. If you were working with a loan officer or representative directly, please continue to contact that person. If you are not able to reach your loan officer for any reason, please call 855-976-5626 and one of our team members will be happy to assist.

I was recently quoted a rate for a mortgage loan from WestStar, is it still good?

If you have locked in your loan terms already, those terms will be valid through your existing rate lock period. This change has no effect on the terms locked. We do have a real time quoting system so any quotes offered that were not locked can be updated by your loan officer upon request.

I recently received a pre-approval letter on a mortgage loan from WestStar – will it still be honored?

J.G. Wentworth Home Lending, Inc. would be happy to update your pre-approval letter with our new name upon request. However, all pre-approval letters previously issued are valid for 90 days after they are issued.

Will my fees change now that WestStar is J.G. Wentworth Home Lending, LLC.?

All aspects of your mortgage, including fees, will remain true to what was agreed upon with the WestStar Mortgage, Inc. agreement.

My closing date is already scheduled, what does this mean for me?

Your closing date will not be affected by this change. After August 1, 2015, any closing settlement will be in our new name. If you have any questions regarding your closing, please contact your mortgage representative.

I am awaiting approval of my loan, what does this mean for me?

Your loan approval will not be impacted by this change. Please note that there are many outside factors that impact final loan approvals. If you have any questions regarding the status of your loan approval, please contact your mortgage representative.

Will my closing costs change?

Your closing costs will not be affected by this change. If you have any questions regarding your closing costs, please contact your mortgage representative.
